The health of a community is significantly influenced by its water quality. To ensure a safe and acceptable water supply to a community, effective water quality management, with adequate water quality monitoring, is required. For this reason, a well-designed water quality management programme is required. It has been shown that the implementation of such programmes can result in significant improvements in the water quality supplies to communities.
